The visitors had taken the lead on 56 minutes when George Miller converted Arkell Jude-Boyd’s cross from close range, silencing the home support after Salford had dominated much of the contest.
Joe Day had already kept Cheltenham level with a string of first-half saves, denying Josh Austerfield twice and blocking from Kallum Cesay, while Miller glanced wide in a rare break forward. Ros Longelo saw a backheel cleared off the line early in the second half before Cheltenham stunned their hosts with the opener.
Miller might have doubled the advantage after being played through by Lee Angol, but Matty Young came to Salford’s rescue.
The Ammies continued to press
Salford continued to threaten with neat exchanges as the game ticked into its final stages, Harris linking with Jorge Grant before curling a shot over the bar. Moments later, Ros Longelo picked him out with a fine cross-field pass, only for Harris’ strike to be blocked.
They were finally rewarded in the third minute of added time when Longelo delivered a superb cross for Harris to head in, ensuring the points were shared.
Best reaction

In a reaction article on the club's website, boss Karl Robinson said: "“It’s not enough from what our territory and chances created deserved. We asked multiple questions, we knocked on doors from the first minute right to the last, and we just don’t seem to have that potency at the top end of the pitch at this moment in time."
Carl Huddart, a Salford City fan season ticket holder, told GM Super News: “10 points from the first six games is much better than where we were last year, we probably could have been sat here very comfortably on 13 points, and I don’t think anybody could have had any qualms with that.”
Iain, another Salford fan, added: “We deserved the three points but it’s always great to score a late goal.”
