ASEAN All-Stars 1 - 0 Manchester United

The decisive goal came in the 71st minute courtesy of Myanmar international Maung Maung Lwin, whose composed finish sealed a memorable result for the regional select side.
United, fielding a blend of youth and experience, struggled to find rhythm in testing conditions. Amorim utilised almost his entire matchday squad, with only goalkeeper Altay Bayindir remaining on the bench.
A closer look at the first-half
The early stages hinted at more defensive vulnerabilities for United. Hai Long Nguyen caused them a number problems before firing wide from an offside position. Sandro Reyes forced a save from Andre Onana, who parried his low strike into a dangerous area, but United managed to avert the danger.

Amani Aguinaldo squandered a promising chance for the All-Stars, blasting over after the ball broke kindly to him. At the other end, Kobbie Mainoo, handed the captain’s armband following Harry Maguire’s substitution, provided United’s most threatening moments. The midfielder forced a smart save from Thai keeper Patiwat Khammai and later had a goal-bound effort cleared off the line.
Jaydan Kamason impressed with his energy and flair, surging into the box late in the half before setting up Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu, whose shot was deflected tamely into Khammai's grasp.
Once again displaying their lack of cutting edge
Despite dominating possession after the break, United lacked cutting edge. Bruno Fernandes volleyed over from distance and Alejandro Garnacho was denied a clear chance by a dubious offside call, which halted what could have been a decisive break.
Chido Obi and Amad Diallo both saw efforts fail to trouble the opposition, while Garnacho, trying to inject urgency, blazed one effort well over and had another blocked in injury time.
The All-Stars seized their moment when Adrian Segecic split the United defence with a clever pass. Lwin, with a first-time strike, fired past substitute keeper Tom Heaton to send the home crowd into raptures.
United pushed for a late equaliser, but aside from a few half-chances, never looked likely to break down a disciplined defence. Jim Thwaites' late intervention prevented Segecic from doubling the lead in the dying moments.
