Oldham Athletic v Salford City

Salford winger Luke Molyneux opened the scoring in the fifth minute when his cross from the right sailed into the far corner without anyone getting a touch.

Oldham goalkeeper Matt Hudson then made a poor clearance straight to Kelly N'Mai, who spotted him off his line and lobbed him from 30 yards in the 19th minute to double Salford's lead.

Oldham reduced the deficit two minutes later when Calum Kavanagh sent a low shot into the bottom-left corner beyond Will Norris.

There was a bizarre moment at the end of the first half

Referee Isaac Searle indicated four minutes of added time but blew for the interval after only three. After being alerted to the mistake, he called the players back on to complete the remaining minute.

Salford restored their two-goal cushion in the 57th minute

Brendan Wiredu squeezed a shot past Hudson, before substitute Adebola Oluwo headed home from Luke Garbutt's free-kick in the 81st minute as the Latics slipped to a fourth consecutive league defeat.
