The home side had gone into the game looking for a big reaction to Saturday's 4-1 thumping at rivals Bolton.
But Ryan Lowe's men put in an equally disappointing display as Wycombe continued their upturn under new boss Michael Duff.

Wigan captain Will Aimson came close to an equaliser just before half-time but could not convert a Raphael Borges Rodrigues cross that had been flicked on by Morgan Fox.
The visitors doubled their lead in the 62nd minute following a clever corner routine down the left, with Donnell McNeilly heading past Tickle from close range.

@AC9632 also responded: “Needs to be a response on Saturday. Hopefully, a bit more of a crowd can create an atmosphere to get behind them and encourage the team to actually have a go. Rather make mistakes & lose than not even look like scoring.”
@DannyLannon was also not happy with the performance: “Some horrendous performances out there tonight, The two strikers, Baba and Aimson just not at it.”
