The Middleton-formed band will perform a one-off concert at Wythenshawe Park on Saturday 29 August 2026, joined by an impressive supporting line-up that includes Wirral favourites The Coral, indie outfit The Vaccines, Bristol dance-punk duo Getdown Services, and Irish newcomers Girl In The Year Above.
Tickets for the Live from Wythenshawe Park event go on sale on 24 October.
The announcement follows a busy summer for the venue, which hosted sold-out shows from The Cure and Lewis Capaldi. Courteeners, fronted by Liam Fray, have built a devoted following since releasing their 2008 debut St. Jude, regularly selling out arenas and outdoor shows across the UK.
Their latest album, Pink Cactus Café, arrived in 2024. The Vaccines are also expected to mark the 15th anniversary of their debut, What Did You Expect from The Vaccines?, by performing the record in full.

A band that always puts on a good show
Before their Co-op Live performance last year, Courteeners staged a huge show at Manchester’s Heaton Park in the summer of 2023. The band performed their 2008 debut album St. Jude in full before a crowd of 50,000 to celebrate its 15th anniversary. A special reissue of the record had earlier topped the UK album chart.
Callum H told us: "I've seen this band 25 times over the last 15 years. I can't wait to see them again now. God bless the band."
Information about the venue
Previous large-scale shows at the park have featured artists such as Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Primal Scream, Blossoms, and New Order.
Last year, headliners Sam Fender and Fontaines D.C. took to the stage, joined by supporting acts including Olivia Dean and Kneecap.
It reportedly has a capacity between 26,000 and 30,000. Many gig-goers said they love the venue, saying they prefer it to Greater Manchester's other outdoor music spots.
