Neville, now 50, becomes the 25th player to be recognised since the Hall of Fame launched in 2021. A one-club man throughout his 19 years in professional football, he established himself as a mainstay at right-back under Sir Alex Ferguson during the club’s dominant years in the 1990s and 2000s.
A product of United’s celebrated Class of 92, Neville also lifted the FA Cup three times and twice won the UEFA Champions League, including the historic treble season in 1999. He was chosen for the honour from a 15-man shortlist, with the final decision made by a panel of the previous inductees.
Neville’s influence stretches beyond trophies and appearances.
As a member of one of the Premier League’s most formidable defences, he helped redefine the role of the modern full-back, blending defensive solidity with attacking ambition. His understanding with David Beckham down Manchester United’s right flank is widely regarded as one of the most memorable partnerships in Premier League history.
Neville received his Premier League Hall of Fame medallion at Old Trafford on Saturday, presented by his former United captain Bryan Robson.

Sir Alex Ferguson paid tribute to Neville’s achievement, saying the defender’s longevity from joining the club as a 14-year-old to reaching the highest level for both club and country made him a thoroughly deserving addition to the Hall of Fame.
Reaction from Gary Neville
He told the media: “It's a huge honour to be inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame. When you hear the names of the players who have already been recognised (legends of the game) to be among them is special."
Neville added: "I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent my entire career at the club I grew up supporting, Manchester United, to have played with so many great players and under a manager like Sir Alex Ferguson. My focus was always doing my job for the team, and to be recognised for that is a proud moment. I'm proud of what we achieved together and to have played a small part in the history of this league."
