Like many of Greater Manchester’s Non-League sides, Wythenshawe Town relies heavily on volunteers who keep the club going. In this question and answer session, we catch up with Oliver, a member of their social media team.

What’s your name and role within the club?

“Oliver and I volunteer for the social media team.”

How's your season going?

The season's not going too good, but we expected it to be tough with starting this season with a bare squad and a new manager. We’ve picked up a few good wins and have started to gel now, so it’s looking positive.

What’s been the highlight of the current campaign?

Highlight of the season has to be sporting Khalsa away, we were losing 2-0 and came back to win 3-2. It was a 140-mile round trip as well.

What are your hopes and ambitions for the rest of the season?

I hope we stay up more than anything, a Manchester cup run would be nice but staying up and keeping the squad and gaffer so we can build on it for the season after, and hopefully become stable at this step.

How do you promote your club in the local area and community?

We use socials, and with us being a big estate, we have a large local social media groups we can use to reach the people in the local area.

Recent social media posts

After their recent victory over Witton Albion, they interviewed Dylan Woods.

Wythenshawe Town are currently 20th in the Northern Premier League Division One West, and they will be hoping for more positive results like the one this weekend to improve their position and start looking up the table.
