A 19th draw of the campaign in the second leg would be enough to send Steven Schumacher’s side into a promotion decider against either Stevenage or Stockport County.

Yet the Bolton manager has made clear that his side will travel to Valley Parade intent on winning the tie outright as they look to book a place at Wembley a week on Sunday.

A closer look at what happened in the first leg

Amario Cozier-Duberry scored the decisive goal with a composed left-footed finish from 15 yards after Bolton striker Ruben Rodrigues failed to bring Ibrahim Cissoko’s cross under control.

It proved to be the only effort on target from either side in a contest full of energy but short on quality in the final third.

Both teams saw strong penalty appeals dismissed by referee Robert Rock, who began the evening as fourth official before replacing the injured Martin Coy five minutes into the second half.

It should be an amazing atmosphere

Bradford City have released additional home tickets as they prepare for what is expected to be the biggest play-off crowd in the club’s history, with more than 21,000 supporters set to attend as they chase successive promotions.

Wanderers’ allocation of almost 2,200 tickets sold out within minutes and Steven Schumacher believes the travelling support could play a significant role as the Whites look to build on their advantage.

Early team news

Johnny Kenny, whose fifth goal in five matches at Bradford City secured a play-off place, will again miss out with the knee injury that has sidelined the on-loan Celtic striker, although he has been told surgery will not be required.

Midfielder Kyle Dempsey, meanwhile, could return to contention for the Whites after sitting out Saturday evening’s first leg.
